I be gone!

Well, in exactly 24 hours I will be leaving Raleigh and making the series of plane flights to South Africa. If during the time I leave and the time I get home the thought should cross your mind of “Say, I miss Lacey. I wonder what she's doing today?” here you go!

Thursday Morning we will be visiting a local school to have a chaple-like session aswell as handing out the book of hope in the local language. These children are all elementary school aged. In the afternoon we will be visiting an orphanage called “Martha's place”.

Friday morning we will be doing the same thing we did Thursday morning. Friday afternoon and evening we will be going on a nature drive on our way to Mokopane.

Saturday afternoon we will arrive and help set up for the start of a summer camp the next day.

After church on Sunday the first wave of camp participants will arrive. These teens/young adults are /about/ 6th grade. We will be doing activities to get to know them, help them get used to the leadership program and etc.

Monday morning the 3rd year students (8th-ish grade) arrive for the start of THEIR camp. They are in the final year of the program. Over all there will be about 300 students in addition to the teachers they bring at this camp.

And if I don't come back, well just know I'm in a better place. Playing tag with orphans and cheering up widows in their distress. (Jk, I have every intention of coming back.. just don't tell mom I'm sneaking an orphan home with me )
